Terms of Service

These are the terms for using Plantlore, the plant-care app from Daylore Studio. They are short on purpose. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them.

Last updated: October 2026

Using Plantlore

Plantlore is for keeping track of your own plants: what they are, what you did for them, and what is due. You may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes. If you got Plantlore from the Apple App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) also applies to your use of the app.

Your Account

You need an account to keep your plants. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Plantlore is not intended for children under 13.

Your Plants, Records and Photos

What you put into Plantlore stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only so that Plantlore can work for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. Add only photos and text you have the right to use.

AI Answers and Care Dates

Identifying a plant, running a health check and filing what you tell the app all use an AI model, and AI answers can be wrong. An identification is a suggestion for you to confirm. A health check suggests likely causes; it is not a diagnosis. Do not rely on Plantlore to decide whether a plant is safe to eat or to touch, or safe around children or pets.

Watering and feeding dates are worked out from what you logged and from general guidance. Plants and homes differ, so treat them as reminders to go and look, not as instructions.

Free Allowance and Paid Plans

Some features, such as health checks, come with a free monthly allowance. If Plantlore offers a paid plan, what it includes and its price are shown before you buy. Payment and renewal are handled by the app store you bought it from, and that is where you manage or cancel it. Deleting your Plantlore account does not cancel an app-store subscription.

Acceptable Use

Use Plantlore lawfully. Do not use it to infringe someone else's rights, upload unlawful content, interfere with the service, get around its limits or security, or reach an account that is not yours.

Availability and Liability

We work to keep Plantlore running and your records safe, but the app and its services are provided as is and as available, and may change or be interrupted. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for the loss of a plant or for other losses that follow from relying on the app. Nothing here removes consumer rights that cannot be excluded by law, and these terms do not choose a governing law beyond what the app store's licence provides.

Leaving, and Closing an Account

You can stop using Plantlore at any time. In Me > Privacy and your data you can have a copy of your data emailed to you and delete your account; deletion has a 30-day grace period in which signing back in restores it. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email when appropriate. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
